We got our first dog in February 2000. We went to Stavanger and came home with "Jana". Jana was from kennel Grå-Dverg and was our first miniatureschnauzer. At first we wanted a dog only to be a family-dog. We weren’t sure if we wanted to participate at dog shows, but we were thinking about it. We were recommended to try, and so we did, without knowing what BOB/BOS, EXC, CAC and so on was. Our first dog show was in Bjerkvik, a small place about 220 kilometers south of Tromsø. Jana was only 5 months old and became 5'th Best in Show Puppie! We were so proud and couldn't stop there. We had to try more... Jana became champion in Norway at the age of 2,5 year. She got two CACIB, both in Norway. Jana wasn't the dog who liked going to dog shows, so the last time we showed her was in Odense, Denmark in 2005. June 16th 2008 become a sad day. Jana had been sick some days, and we had to go to the veterinary. Thru the years she has had some problems, but it always went well. But this time I got the most sadly message from the veterinary; that she most lightly wouldn't live trough a new operation. They recommended that Jana should let go, and so we decided. It was the heaviest decision we took that day, but the right one. In memory of Jana; sweet dreams our little, good friend. You where very special for us, and we will always miss you! Since we enjoyed dog shows, and were very pleased with the breed, we were thinking about getting one more. The different of having one or two dogs, is very small. We were lucky to get to know Kent Olsen from kennel Greypix, and in June 2003 we were so lucky to buy "Nora". Nora is a tuff and sporty girl with the right schnauzer attitude. We were very curious about Nora's future in dog shows, when that time comes. Her first dog show was arranged by Norwegian kennelclub in Narvik. She had just had her first birthday. At the show she got her first CAC. Her second CAC and dog show was arranged in Tromsø. The third dog show we went to, was arranged in Trondheim, just when she was turned 15 mounts and could be Norwegian champion if she got her third CAC, but this time the judge didn't like her, and our luck turned around! But we know that "another time" and "another judge" might have an other opinion, so we went to Leknes in Lofoten in August 2004. After four dog shows she became Norwegian champion, and we was very proud of this beautiful dog we got! Nora has at the time 3 CACIB. We have participated in dog shows in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, but her best placement has just been reserve CAC... Still, in June 2006 we went to the European dog show in Helsinki, Finland, and she was placed as second bitch among 44 other bitches! Thank you Siv Oware and Kent Olsen for your help with her coat! At spring time 2006 we planned a litter from Nora, and our good and helpful friend at kennel Greypix; Kent Olsen helped us finding a suitable male. At the time the miniatureschnauzer Ezüst Gránit Impuls from Hungary, lived at kennel Mac Links in Göteborg, Sweden. We went there and about two months later, our first litter was born! Big thanks to Nina Skjæran from kennel Zarazota who helped us with the delivery. Five puppies were born; 4 males and 1 bitch. We kept the bitch, and named her "Lotte". Lotte is very like her mother in every ways. She has have a great start on her dog show carrier; 3 CAC in her first 3 dog shows! Now when she has passed the age of two years, we hope she will get her last CAC so she can become Norwegian champion. Our next dog show will be in the spring 2009. At last; a special thanks to Kent Olsen at kennel Greypix for all help and support true the years! You are the number 1 breeder! |
